The magic ear of Willy reaches Venice and, next to the Santa Maria della Pietà, is able to hear the sounds that have been trapped over time amidst the stones of Venice. We will follow along on an exciting journey.
Next, our thoughts will turn to our city, its noises, those of the day and of the night, at school or at the market… imagine that the sounds we hear turn into music as we transform them into a song!
In the same way, the children who lived in the Istituto della Pietà combined their beautiful voices to form melodies! Magically, the discordant notes of their life found a score in which everything became music, evolving into harmony and beauty. The story of the Pietà and its children’s choir directed by maestro Vivaldi will inspire us, allowing the children of today to understand how – through music and singing – each of us can find their role in the group by collaborating with a common aim of beauty, thus being able to feel useful.

EXECUTION

The experience includes a guided tour of the 210 original images by Letizia Galli illustrating the 12 tales of the Stories of Children, to get to know the many protagonists: Agata Smeralda, Abdou, Willy, Sara and Pietro… and their exciting stories. At the end there will be time dedicated entirely to creativity.

PURPOSE

– Train yourself to listen to the sounds that accompany us during the day.
– Recognise the familiar sounds, those that are more or less pleasant, those connected to an activity and of our own voices…

OBJECTIVES

– Through listening, be aware of what is happening near or far from us, learning how to perceive what we cannot see.
– Form a group for a choral performance.
