OBJECTS IN MY HOME
Together with the children, we will stop to consider the objects that remind them of someone they hold dear: an ornament, a book, a sweet… to understand that everyday things can take on a value and a special meaning in relation to our own past. Next, we will turn our focus to objects we would never want to lose due to how they connect us to someone, to a happy moment…
We will then play a game of memory: everyone will think of something that is dear to them, then he or she will draw it on two cards that will be mixed in with the cards of the whole group. We will then have fun finding pairs and listening to the stories about what bind us to the objects drawn.
A sophisticated game for listening to many stories like the one illustrated by Letizia that tells the story of Sara and Pietro and the objects they find in the attic – a way to get to know each other better and to talk about ourselves.
The experience includes a guided tour of the 210 original images by Letizia Galli illustrating the 12 stories of Stories of Children, to get to know the many protagonists: Agata Smeralda, Abdou, Willy, Sara and Pietro… and their exciting stories. At the end there will be time dedicated entirely to creativity.
To help with the observation of familiar things and objects to reconstruct an event, to recall a memory, leading to taking care of one’s own possessions and to respecting those of others.
– To summarise the values in a story or pinpoint them in the stories told by others.
– To recognise the value of our own things and those of everyone.
